Welcome to the Luxury Watch Barometer (LWB).
What we do: LWB provides powerful sales, inventory and brand health information/metrics to leading watch brands and retailers across the country. Subscribers receive brand-level performance measures (sales and inventory levels; turns; and profitability margins) as well as historical and recent trend data.
Who we are: LWB was launched in 2023 by the founder of LGI Network, formerly the leading market research firm focused on luxury watches in the United States. LGI served 70% of the leading watch brands and retailers representing over 8,000 storefronts -- providing them with performance reports synthesized from the point-of-sales data of the nation’s leading retailers. Afterward, LGI was acquired by the NPD Group (now part of Circana), which subsequently de-emphasized its POS services for the luxury watch category.
The Catalyst for LWB: Leading luxury watch brands and retailers approached former LGI executives in 2022, stressing the need for critical retail performance information, especially following the COVID-propelled boom in luxury goods sales. We developed LWB to fill the significant information void identified by the industry. In light of the increasingly uncertain times given the relative strength of the Swiss Franc vs the dollar, and the impending US tariff possibilities, the industry relies on LWB's data more than ever.
LWB’s Panel and Services: LWB's information service is based on monthly sales and inventory point-of-sale data received from a panel of over 2,500 luxury jewelers across the nation. For nearly all luxury watch brands, the panel represents between 40% and 60% of the brand's authorized jewelers.
LWB's information is available to subscribers only. For additional information, please contact us at info@luxurywatchdata.com.
